Got threat briefing on Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Changed into civilian clothes for trip outside the camp to the Djibouti airport to catch Ethiopian Airlines flight to Addis Ababa. First time outside the camp since arriving a few days ago. Djibouti is very poor and lots of trash on way to airport. I was driven by Master Sergeant (MSG) Carmichael plus another soldier from neighboring Civil Affairs (CA) group; need to have no less than two in vehicle when outside the wire. Although it was late leaving it was not a bad flight and they had booked me into a first class seat. I was picked up by a LCDR in Addis who took me to the Sheraton Hotel for my overnight.
