Arrive this morning in Shannon, Ireland. Take off again in the late morning for flight over northern European plains, Black Sea, over Turkey and then over Iraq into Kuwait. Actually arrive at Logistics Support Area (LSA) Kuwait after a few hours of bus riding and waiting. One of my duffels didn't make it; only three of the four. Fortunately it was the one with the body army and Kevlar helmet (the new type) so I'm free of the heavy stuff I don't need. I get a lost baggage report. Hot as blue blazes; hotter than I remember it when we departed there in May, 1991 after Desert Storm. Stay two nights at LSA Kuwait and then fly on to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar on C-130.
